    M-SCM Black Belt Training

    SCM Black Belt is for Mid-level managers who have in-depth involvement in operation and decision making and have an interest in getting a formal certification in the field. This might include individuals such as planning manager, master schedulers, supplier quality engineer, material planner, inventory control manager, sourcing/ purchasing manager, warehouse manager, or other related positions. These executives must have some management responsibility, a bachelor degree plus two or more years of experience, and have a reasonable level of mastery of English.

    Awarding of an SCM Black Belt certificate is contingent on completion of the following:
    1. Fifteen on-line, self paced learning modules and passing of tests for each module.
    2. Completion of 12 SCM modules – each module will involve 4 hours of lecture via teleconference by NC State University Professors.
    a. Overview of Supply Chain Management
    b. Warehouse Operations
    c. Warehouse Planning
    d. Transportation Operations
    e. Transportation Planning
    f. Inventory Operations
    g. Sales and Operations Planning
    h. Supply Chain Planning (MPS, MRP)
    i. Production Operations
    j. Strategic Sourcing
    k. Supplier Development
    l. Strategic Cost Management in the Supply Chain
    3. Attendance at a one-day kickoff program workshop.
    4. Completion of the Supply Chain Learning Environment, a state-of-the-art web-based, simulation teaching tool, that provides students with experiences managing supply chain relationships, information flows, and customer demand.
    5. Completion of an SCM improvement project at their facility and presentation to their colleagues.
    6. Completion of final exam.
